The Choir of Oxford is made up of some of Britain’s finest young singers and is led by British conductor James Burton. Many of the singers are graduates of Oxford University and share strong choral experience gained in the English cathedral singing tradition. Many of the choir members have performed with Schola Cantorum of Oxford under James Burton on recordings, broadcasts and international tours, including those to Mexico in 2004 and 2006 which included performances at La Sala Nezahualcoyotl and the Cervantino Festival. The group has a vast repertoire spanning five centuries of choral music, and for its tour of Mexico in 2013 presented a varied programme of familiar masterpieces and contemporary discoveries.
